Meet Karen Velderrain, MS, RDN, LD
Karen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. During undergrad, she was a lab technician assistant for NASA’s Space Food Research Lab and as a sports nutrition assistant for a Division I football team!
After graduating, she pursued a combined program—earning her master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Nutrition (MsESN) while completing her dietetic internship. She completed over 1,200 hours of supervised practice in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, biochemistry research, bariatric surgery, and medical nutrition therapy. Soon after, she passed her credentialing and licensing exams and officially became a licensed dietitian!
Outside of academics, she has built an online presence focused on realistic, fun, and science-based wellness. She shares easy, tasty recipes, busts nutrition myths, and explores trending health topics—all to show that healthy living can be doable and enjoyable.
In a world full of nutrition noise, she’s here to be a trusted, evidence-based voice—helping you feel confident and empowered on your wellness journey.
Thanks for being here—let’s make healthy living fun!
